I eat too much

today-
2 eggs scrambled (204)
oj (84)
4 popsicles (4x40=160)
apple (95x3=285)
green beans (17)
grilled chicken (200)
bbq sauce (70)
grilled shrimp (100)
grilled red potato (65)
milk (2x83= 166)
biking (-135)
total= 1216

Okay so I thought that was all going to add up to a lot more than it did. And it actually looks healthier than I feel like I was today. So that's a relief, sort of. Besides the barbecue sauce and the oj, it's actually not that bad.

I had an idea. I recently cut my hair short (I simultaneously hate and love it) and I was thinking that if by the time my hair is to my elbow again I am not under 120, I'll donate all the money I have saved to some dreadful organization like the Westboro Baptists or something.

I spent the majority of the day laying around, both inside and outside, listening to an audiobook about a depresses admissions officer at Princeton. It was both a boring book and one that made me really sad. I'm now reading Sisterland by Curtis Sittenfeld. She is my favorite author but so far I am not all that impressed by this book. I'm almost 100 pages in and I don't really feel much of anything for any of the characters.

I'm bored. Really bored. And I don't have the energy to arrange to see my friends. It's far too inconvenient. I really should though, because otherwise I'll get no practice at staying in touch when I'm a busy and boring adult.

Please can summer be over so I can go back to college?

  2. your hair! you cut your wonderful hair?! but it was so.... luscious. (from what i remember.)

if you don't feel anything for the characters, it's a bad book. even a character that you utterly despise to the point of crossing out their name each time it appears is better than a character that makes you feel nothing at all. i think every book should be like a love affair, and the emotions you feel should make your spine tingle. and when you finish it, you should think, "i hated this part,.... but i would totally read this book again."

anywho, i'm sorry you're bored. i've been learning variations on solitaire. maybe you should try that. although, it doesn't help if you're craving human contact. smile, though. books are great company. xx
