sniff

It's lovely weather these past few days! I went to my town's memorial day parade and had a wonderful time cheering for the veterans and local bands and clubs. It was all so patriotic. It was hot out but I wore long shorts to hide my thighs. I've been wearing short shorts on the days I'm confident, but I could bear it this morning.

The scale is still broken, but I hope soon it will be fixed so I can track my goals and results. I've kept up the good streak of eating partly thanks to a cold that I've come down with. I'm congested and tired and sound awful when I speak. fingers crossed that I get better in time for prom on friday!

Still haven't decided on my hair for prom. And oh by the way... here's my dress:

pictures as promised. please excuse me, though. I have no make-up on because my eyes are so itchy. and my arms... yeah. still fat :/ hopefully my prom pictures turn out okay. I'll show you guys the best ones after prom. With any luck, I'll look good (and boy will make all the pictures better too, he's so handsome)

have a wonderful memorial day and a lovely rest of the week!
xx Jackie

  1. I think I hate the confidence days more because I know their so fragile and rare that any moment I can start feeling great again.

  2. That dress is so gorgeous & slimming! Purple is such a lovely colour :). You look great in that dress & I'm sure your prom pictures will turn out lovely! I hate wearing shorts too- I only wear them when I work out and then I'm wearing black tights under them because the shorts are so short! The only shorts I feel comfortable in are the ones that go down to my knees. I hope you get better with that cold and have an awesome week! ♥

  3. I never wear shorts. Ever. Even when it's 100 degrees out (literally), I'm still in pants. So I admire you just for having the confidence to do that. Your dress is LOVELY. I'm kind of jealous of it <3

  4. Jackie, my love, I'm so sorry I didn't let you know I was back! There's a very simple explanation to it- my dad is an architect and has his atelier upstairs, which means that he spends A LOT of time at home-- plus, having my mom around with her constant "what are you doing, darling? what are you typing? who are you chatting with? come spend time with me!" is not making it very easy for me to spend time on my laptop without them knowing what I'm doing... and so I've been blogging, but not really commenting-- so please, please, accept my apologies-- but yes, I am, indeed, back, and posting (and trying to lose weight).

I see you've been doing great, darling!! Your prom is so soon, oh my, and look at you-- looking all beautiful and thin in THAT ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS DRESS!!! You're so very pretty, girl, I wish I had more freckles (however you spell that- I guess I've become English-impaired in these three weeks-- please bear with me!). Gonna go read your previous posts to catch up on what I missed!!

Best of luck to you, and again, so sorry for not letting you know I was back!!!

    Love love love love love,
    Lu.
