Also, my prom dress arrived. I bought it super early because it was cheap and there was only one left. It's a bit big, but I'll have it taken in when it get close to the date. Prom is June 3rd, so I have a while to lose the weight I want to. It's really flattering already, but I want my arms to look spectacular and I don't want a fat face in pictures again. Last year, I was the grossest girl in all the pictures. ugh. I want that to change. I'll post a picture of me in my dress when I get to 135. I don't want to embarrass myself until I've lost at least 15 pounds from where I've started.
This morning I was given a lovely surprise by my scale, 140.8! I was so happy. I only have a pound to go till I'm in the 130s. I was eating really well until lunch when instead of throwing out my sandwich like usual, I ate it. It wasn't a bad sandwich, pita bread with lettuce and a 1/2 tablespoon of ranch dressing. I was so upset with myself the rest of the day. but then around 5 or 6 I thought to myself 'hey! when did a 150 calorie sandwich become something to ruin your day? this is crazy!" I got 196 net today, not counting fruit and subtracting 168 in running and dance. That's still a good total of 334, under my SGD day day 10 goal of 400. So why was I beating myself up over a dumb pita sandwich?I ran it off after school anyway, but really, why is it a big deal? When I restrict for a day I sometimes get in the mindset that eating is failing. But then I usually end of binging the next day or the day after. I need to find a happy medium.
Also, question to anyone who knows, when I eat under 500 calories my eyes hurt. it's like a pressure similar to not getting enough sleep. I know I've been sleeping enough, so the eating is what's doing it. Why is this happening? Am I not getting enough of some vitamin or something? help is much appreciated <3
Hope everyone had a lovely Ash Wednesday! I said I was giving up potatoes and all their delicious products, and doesn't it figure that my dad makes twice baked potatoes tonight? well, at least it was a good reason to skip the calories! good luck tomorrow, girlies! xoxo

Are you supplementing your diet with a multivitamin? If it's a vitamin deficiency, a good quality multivitamin will clear that up. I take one, and when I can, I also take an additional calcium/vitamin D supplement later in the day, since I don't like dairy and am on a medication that can cause bone loss. You don't have to be too fancy--a store brand of women's formulated multivitamin would work just fine.
ReplyDeleteYou sound like you're doing really well, and moving in the right direction! Keep it up! You're right too - don't let yourself get obsessed about a pita sandwich, always be aware how dangerous these disordered thoughts we all have are. We don't want you getting seriously ill, just thin! xxxx
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the weight loss! Being in the 130s again will fill so good! I would really like to see the prom dress- I bet it's really pretty. Glad to hear you're doing well with the SGD too! And you're right, with all the exercise you're doing with the running and all, you shouldn't let a 150 cal sandwich ruin your day. I'm still trying to find that "happy medium" myself! I don't know what to tell you about your eyes hurting though- sometimes I get a sinus headache which causes my eyes to hurt. Also, no drinking enough water can cause headaches too-and usually when your head hurts in a particular area your eyes end up hurting. Keep up the great work!
