Okay. I know what you're thinking-
fried chicken?I know. I'm thinking the same thing. I was only going to have a small amount as not to raise questions and jokes about diets at my expense. but after the workout I was so damn tired and hungry. And the chicken was so good. and I had milk. I love chicken.... (sorry vegans, I love meat) I also had 5 rice cakes today. can you say obsession?
Anyways. Today was the first day of track. I couldn't go because I'm in the school musical though. I'll start practicing with the team when the play is finished.

tangent: Our rehearsals are from 3:15 till 6 this week and 3:15 till 7 next week. on Thursday of next week will be opening night. We only do 3 shows at my school, which I think is dumb. why practice for 2 months if you only get the good part for 3 nights? the applause is why I do it. it's great to be up there smiling and knowing that all eyes are on you. I don't have a lead, I'm only a "featured vocal soloist" (or in other words the crappiest part a senior can get). but the show is great, it's
Fame which is ten times better than last year's
Kiss Me, Kate.
Oh right. my point in this paragraph. I'll get back to that now. I went running right after school (2:30) and went through town to this big hill that goes up to a neighborhood. I ran all the way there (.7 miles) and then ran up twice ( I walked back down) then I mostly ran back, but I walked quite a bit. It was a real workout! It took me half an hour, so I count that as one good workout ticked off towards my future track successes.
I feel so good being back on SGD and being back to running. It's so much more fulfilling than food or being lazy like I was all of last week (have I mentioned my failing lately? ugh. nightmare.) I was good most of the day except for the chicken thing. but I still stayed under my 400 cal limit.
I'm gonna jump on the bandwagon and do lent this year. I've decided to give up potato products for real this time. I've tried before, but always failed. this time, I will do it!
even though I had a week of terribleness, I feel like I'm getting somewhere after today. I'm gonna have a lovely body one day. hope you all have a wonderful week to come!
Working out feels so much better than pigging out, doesn't it? >:D And yay, more on the Lent bandwagon. I'm doing it too, and I'm not even a churchy type. Have a good week, too!
ReplyDeleteRice cakes are amazing! Especially the flavored, sweet kind! I hope your play goes well and all those weeks of rehearsal really pays off. It sucks that you practice so much and can only perform 3 nights- you should at least be able to do a week! Track sounds like it's going to be loaded with exercise and running- you're going to be able to run faster and longer in no time! I wish I could be a runner though, but I'm having to slowly work my way up to it. I guess that's where consistency comes into play. Hey, even though you had the chicken, I bet your burned off most of the calories that was in that through the running you did! I also hope your Lent goes well! Giving up potatoes- wow, I love me some sweet potatoes- but I know you can do it!

bahaha I WAS! I was thinking "fried chicken??" But it was more along the lines of "fuck, where can I get fried chicken for 215 cals?" God you, running girl! I've always wanted to be an awesome sports bra running chick, but I'm such a yoga girl myself. Sending you skinnies darling girl. stay strong!
